~Glitches - Happiness~

Last month we flew to Manila again to attend our friend’s daughter’s birthday party. Since the date falls on the third Saturday of the month, we decided to schedule our pre cana seminar on the same week Sunday which is our church’s regular monthly schedule of seminar. By the way, it’s just a weekend trip so we want to make sure that we maximize our time while we’re there. So here’s what I planned for.

November 26 – ETD Singapore 2055H
November 27 – ETA Manila 0020H
3:00am – sleep
8:00am – breakfast, fix things for appointments
10:00am – Don Bosco , collect revised Marriage Banns
11:00am – Megamall, exchange money, lunch
2:30pm – Trial Make-up (Parc Royale Ortigas)
3:30pm – Andi’s Birthday Party
8:00pm – Dinner with Ian’s mom

STORY:
Few days before we fly back, I received an e-mail from our wedding coordinator that our pre cana seminar was cancelled because the speaker won’t be available on that day and it was moved to the following week, December 5. Upon reading the e-mail, I called our church to ask for some possible arrangements that they can do for us because we might be coming to Manila only 2 weeks before the wedding. Result? Failed! Their line is always busy and I just couldn’t make bantay when it will be available because I’m also very busy at work. I decided to just call them when I reach Manila. We were already on our way to Don Bosco when I called them about the pre cana thing and to ask if our marriage banns are ready for collection. I was advised to come around 3pm because the marriage banns haven’t been signed yet. And about the seminar, Ms. Ging, asked me to call someone by the name of Bro. Bert ( I think he’s the speaker for that seminar) to confirm with him their arrangement, that he will do the seminar for us on the same day since we are based abroad, and we already booked our ticket. But some things just don’t happen as planned so the ending? it didn’t push through. BUT!! Bro, Bert is so nice that he made a special booking for us. :) We don’t need to look after sale airfare tickets on third Sunday of every month before March to attend their regular schedule, he arranged us for March 6, 2011. That is one week before our big day. That saved us from extra expenses again. Wohoo! Anyways, going back to marriage banns, since it’s not yet ready, we decided to exchange our money first then go to my trial make up. We’re kinda hungry so we decided to have Jollibee drive-thru on our way to ortigas. Then, change plan again. It was so traffic so I told Ian that we head to my trial make up first because I don’t want to be late and thought that while I’m doing my trial make up, he can go to megamall first to exchange our money since it’s just nearby parc royale. When we reached the MUA’s studio, she was not there. Oh my! I’m kinda feeling something again. :) Her secretary asked for my number and she said that Cherry (MUA) will call me. Few minutes after, she called. She said she was stucked in the wedding at Manila Pen because the bride requested for few more heads to be made up. She explained that she actually asked for my number from our coordinator so she can call me in advance but I guess everyone was just too busy. She kept on apologizing and asked me if I can wait for her for about 4o minutes. She’s heading back to the studio but thinking about the traffic jam is really terrible. I told her that I can’t wait any longer because I have another appointment to attend to. While talking to her, I wasn’t feeling so bad at all. I actually like her. I even want to book her right away even if she hasn’t done my trial. But I also told myself, I’ll decide until the next day. So, we tentatively arranged trial session the next day. It’s almost 3pm so we decided to just exchange our money at Glorietta, head to Don Bosco and then to the party. When we reached the church, the marriage banns are not ready yet and it’s 4:20pm already. One of the copies has no signature and we are late for the party. :) (The party is something special for us so we just can’t afford to be late) We were asked to wait for a while but around 5:00, I approached Ms. Ging and asked if we can just collect it the next day. Still lucky, she’s nice enough to say that she’ll just leave the banns to the guard on duty since they don’t hold office on Sundays. She assured me that but deep inside I’m still praying that she won’t forget it because I saw how busy she was while me and ian were sitting in front of her desk waiting for our signed marriage banns. So we’re done at the Church. We ran upon getting out of the office because we’re really late for the party. On our way, since I didn’t put any make up on (I prepared myself for the trial session) I did my own make up and fixed myself. Another traffic jam. Whew! Anyways, while stucked inside the car, I texted cherry that I’ll book her already as my official HMUA and we’ll just do the trial session next time. :) I thought of just spending my Sunday with my family and also for me and Ian to have longer rest since we really had a loooooooooooooooooooooong day! After the party we’re supposed to have dinner with his mom but it was another cancelled appointment because his mom is not feeling well. Since it’s in the same area as where the party was held, we paid her a visit and stayed for a while. We also got from her Ian’s baptismal certificate, baby photos, and we filled up our marriage license. :) it wasn’t the best day but we’re still happy that at least we’ve accomplished something.
If our November 27 is a sablay day, our November 28 is a happy day! :) Here’s what we’ve planned and the results.

10:00 – San Miguel Church, get revised confirmation certificate – check!
11:00 – Don Bosco, collect marriage banns – check!
12:00 – Lunch with family at Glorietta – check!
- Buy what’s in our checklist – check!
2:00pm – Starbuck Take Out from Trinoma – bonus! Check!
3:00pm – meryenda at home – check!
4:00 – nap/rest –check!
5:45 – Hear mass – check!
8:00 – Dinner - check!
11:00 - sleep

November 29 - ETD Manila 1640H ETA Singapore 2005H

Ian is so paranoid with the traffic jam so he really made sure we'll leave the house early. but we're at the airport too early that the check in counters aren't open yet. and for the record, we were there 3 1/2 hours before our schedule flight. talk about punctuality. hehe! well at least we're not late, we got the front seat of the plane (01A and 01B), near the lavatory, our flight was 15mins earlier the ETA, we're the first ones to alight the plane, no cue at the immigration, and no waiting at the baggage belts. weeee!!! :)

After all the glitches of my November 27, Happiness is my November 28 and 29. :) By the way, my mom also got my baptismal and confirmation certificate already. :) Tick! Tick! Tick! Few more checks on my checklist! :)

~DIY No. 2 WiLL YoU Be?~

I'm in my DIY mode again and i just finished doing our wyb e-cards for our entourage :) I got the link from W@W forum and i'm super happy that it turned out good and my female ento liked it. at first i was thinking of doing it in a real card form but when i read about it in W@W, i thought it would be more practical and eco friendly. :) so here are few of them. :)

For the guys, Ian preferred the texts to be in tagalog because he finds english texts cheesy. haha! so here's his version.

happiness again! :) weeee! :)

~LeSS ThAn 4 MonThs To Go!~

Geez! I can feel the excitement and i'm kinda nervous already. :) but i love this feeling!! :) yup! it's less than 4 months and it's my turn to walk down the aisle. :) here are some of the updates of our wedding preparations.

So far our preps are doing okay and i'm excited to see the final sketch of my gown :)
We have decided to get Ms. Mila De Leon as my designer and she'll do the gowns of my entourage too! :) i put my trust on her so I hope she won't fail me. :)

Kutchie, our coordinator keeps on impressing me/us. I was a bit worried with some small details of our wedding like the headcount of suppliers meal, misalette, place cards etc. so i told her that i want to talk about it on our next meeting. And during our meeting with her last month, I felt so relieved when she told me that she and her team will take good care of it. she even volunteered to help us in doing the packing of our wedding favors and she also talks about the littlest things which i really appreciate as an OC Bride. :-p I remember her telling me to ask one of my bridesmaids or whoever to carry a sanitizer and stand near me after the releasing of the doves because sometimes as they say, sh*t happens. haha! i'm loving her more and more and hopefully on the day of our wedding, will be her best of the best :)

~Pre Nup LeG 3~ :)

after 3 months, we get to shooting again with kuya oliver, this time with abcd and pola too and unfortunately it rained. BUT that didn't stop us from posing. haha! it's just too bad we didn't have enough shots at the skate boarding rink and graffiti walls. not sad at all because i love kuya oliver's creativity that he managed to get nice shots using the available resources like the light pole near the bus stop where we were by standing while waiting for the rain to stop, the colorful lights from 313 somerset mall, and the bus stop lights which he made into heart bokehs. :) our time was not wasted after all. :) here are the proofs :)
